Begin your Journey

Battle Honours is a fun programme that makes Warhammer more accessible to players of all ages. Your members can continue their journeys into the worlds of Warhammer by completing their choice of over fifty activities. Every set of activities they finish will earn them a free reward from their nearest Warhammer Store, and they can also earn a reward and certificate for completing any thirty of the activities.

Getting started with Battle Honours

Once you have finished working through the Resource Pack, Battle Honours is the best next step for your club members to take. The programme challenges participants to set and meet goals and complete activities whilst learning about Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. The Battle Honours booklet guides young people through the five keys to the Warhammer hobby: Collect, Build, Paint, Play, and Read. Just by finishing the Resource Pack, young people will have already completed at least six Battle Honours activities.

Discover the Hobby

For more information about participating in Battle Honours, speak to staff at your nearest Warhammer store or contact your Warhammer Alliance coordinator. Staff will always be willing to offer additional support throughout the programme should you or your Warhammer Alliance participants need it.

REWARDS FOR TAKING PART IN WARHAMMER BATTLE HONOURS

To complete Battle Honours, young people must choose 30 of the 50 activities across the Collect, Build, Paint, Play, and Read sections. For each activity completed, store staff will give them a stamp to mark their accomplishment. Every time they complete a section, they will receive a fun and useful reward.

Once a young person hits their goal of 30 activities, they will receive a certificate celebrating their hard work, and a figure case to keep their collection in. They can keep doing more activities and collecting stamps after completing 30 to earn more rewards and have more fun!

Running Battle Honours meetings for your club

There are plenty of ways you could integrate the Battle Honours programme into your club. Our store staff are happy to help you arrange for your group to participate, and can provide all of your club members with Battle Honours booklets.

Take a Trip to your Nearest Store

You may wish to encourage your young people to visit their nearest Warhammer store at the start of the program. This way, they can pick up their free booklet themselves and ask store staff for any advice they may need. If you wish to take your club there on a trip, please contact the store manager first; not all stores are equipped with enough space or staff for large group trips.

Run Sessions Based on Each Section

Battle Honours is divided into Collect, Build, Paint, Play, and Read sections. You could plan your club sessions around completing each section.

Not all sections may require the same number of sessions – Collect may even be best completed in members’ own time, choosing what they want at home before going with a parent or guardian to their nearest store.

You could run several sessions for each of the other sections, or circle through Build, Paint and Play, with Read sessions interspersed every few months or done at home. Reach out to your store manager or local co-ordinator if you would like further advice.

Plan a School Challenge

To help with your members’ activities, you could run an event for them to participate in. This could be a painting challenge, a game tournament, or anything else you can think of. This is also a good opportunity for young people to socialise and have fun whilst working on some of their key academic skills. Consider creating and printing certificates for your young people to award to the winners.

Reach Out to Parents

You’d be surprised how many parents may have been involved in the Warhammer hobby in the past! You may be able to find Black Library books or old models by asking if any parents are willing to donate that will help members to complete their booklet.

Battle Honours is easy enough that parents with no experience can also get involved! Those who wish to help out in order to support their child and your club could do things such as running sessions, building terrain out of household supplies, getting Warhammer books from local libraries, and so on.
